I just got back from a little drive down to mid Wales, and I used, amongst others, the A483 between Newtown and Builth Wells... What a fantastic road! Fairly free of traffic, really nice surface, and very twisty and fun with loads of safe overtaking spots if you have the horsepower...

Anyone else experienced it?

I know what you mean! Welsh roads are awesome. The surface on the whole is so much better than that of English roads. Couple that with the amazing scenery and thats a bit smile when driving

Experienced it aplenty (a superb road), I also have a mate who's a biker and says Plod "hides" on it to catch the unwary (I've lived up here three years and have yet to see them, but familiarity breeds contempt and all that ), you've been warned..............................

Thanks for the heads up! I've seen a speed trap hidden on the side of the A470 on my return trip, right in the middle of a long straight. One of the first times I enjoyed being behind a truck full of hay...
