After all my woes I finally got my P&J back from Leven on Thursday Night.....

In the end I had all the core plugs replaced which meant the engine had to come out...Here is some of the other bits that were done.....

Engine/Gearbox/Exhaust Mounts - One engine mount came out in 2 pieces
New Clutch
Recored Radiator
Fan Cowling
Front Lower Wishbone (L/H) and bushes
Lower Ball Joint
Front Brake pads - (Green Stuff)
Track Rod end
Steering Rack Gaitor Kit

And they found part of the chassis with a crack, which was replaced. 12k Service and MOT.

Needless to say it was not cheap.......But I certainly take my hat off to Simon, Julie and Dan at Leven. They give you a service that is second to none, they really take a personal interest in your car.

The car overheated on Friday Morning going to work, it was an airlock which after bleeding the system twice seems to have dissapeared. I was sat in traffic yesterday on the M2 and the needle did not move above 90.

I have been hooning around all weekend with a grin that just cannot be wiped off my face.......

Sorry for the long post but I am so excited to have my P&J back.......

Same thing happened to me after I had a recored radiator, i.e. slight overheat... needed to top up coolant and eveything fine ever since (2 months)... I put it down to an airlock working its way out of the system, never thought twice about it....

thats a common mistake made on most cars with electric fans, people just fill em up and put the cap on.the trick is if the fans dont cut in blowing hot air,the heater isnt blowing same.then it aint bled.then let cool down re/check coolant level.they are filled to quickly not allowed to bleed and think that should be fine cap back on its not.just my cents worth......see this alot.
