Just got back from a fantastic week away in France with the Chim! We did 1000 miles over the week and the Chim never missed a beat even in 34 degree heat.

Since I replaced the sump plug the car has been totally 'dry' however this morning I noticed a very slight (couple of spots) of a clear oil near the front off-side.

It seemed to be under the PAS gubbins but I thought that PAS oil was red.

Any ideas?

Could it have been as a result of grounding the sump in Chinon?

When PAS/ATF fluid gets hot it turns a chocolate brown, potentially could be the U bend under the pump...TADTS.

I thought the same about PAS fluid being red but thats what the problem turned out to be, leaking from that poxy U-bend.You'll need a stubby screwdriver and a lot of swearing. Oh and kiss goodbye to the skin off your knuckles!!
