Hi there (really going to have to change my user id)

Looking to get a sports exhaust and light remap applied to my GT3 Mk1 (has got a cup filter on it and i think it's a little fluffy at the bottom end already)

I fancy the cargraphic exhaust (having heard good things about them) but can't find the link to somewhere where I can price them up. Been on the cargraphic.co.uk website which is a bit thin on the ground for info.

I live in Newcastle but would be prepared to travel to drop the car off for a remap. Where would everyone recommend (I know Parr and JZ are highly regarded but are they really the only viable options - they're not cheap!)

All links gratefully received, and when I do find somewhere suitable i'll be sure to try and record some sound clips of standard vs new exhaust to further add to the confusion out there

Cheers guys,

Chris

No really - i do want to sort the exhaust and remap out!

I honestly didn't expect all this punnery to become a parr-t of it.

Nooooo, what is this place doing to me?

Vette,

If your money will run to it you'll do no better than taking it to JZ Machtech www.jzmachtech.com and having the Manthey K410 conversion done. I'm sure you will have read good reviews.

Alternatively, speak to Allan and Andy at Weltmeister www.weltmeister.co.uk/ about the Revo remapping software they sell, and they'll source you an exhaust from somewhere......

On a final note, I'm not sure why you'd want a Cargraphic exhaust. They are at the top end of the market, and not all the comments I've heard have been positive!

I'd echo Bruce's comments re JZM... except that the Mk1 GT3 gets the K400 upgrade which seems to kick out as much as the K410 upgrade! Allan and Andy have a superb rep on custom remaps.

I want that K400!... and KW and...

Can't run to a Manthey conversion - just after an exhaust (for the sound) and remap (to make sure it's fueling to the best of its abilities) to see where it gets to.

I haven't heard anything bad about cargraphic.. do tell!

Exhaust choices as far as I see it are as follows:

Fabspeed supercup - too much resonance
Techart - pricey
Dansk - a bit of an unknown
Tubi - v. pricey + don't think they do a system for a GT3
Cargraphic - nice and loud (not daft though) without resonance - not sure how much though
Europipe - don't know anything about them

Like I say, can't find a price list for the cargraphic system so not really sure what i'm looking at.

Cheers,

Chris

I've got Cargraphic back boxes but mine's a 993, not a GT3. I paid around 800 quid for the boxes, with a bit extra for the tail pipes (of which Cargraphic sell a range from sensible to chav).

I love the noise they make and are far more civilised than the mentalist Supercups I had before, however I have no idea re: GT3 fitment. I haven't heard any nightmare stories about the Cargraphics either

Spoken to Mark (you're right, he's very helpful )and (for Cargraphic) it comes down to 2 choices. Silencers only (about 1k) or silencers and cats (about 2k).

Apparently the sound with the cats changed is quite different to that created when just the silencers are changed. Has anyone had experience of both setups or any advice (the cats for and extra 1k seem expensive for what they are)

Cheers,

Chris

My Cargraphi sounds brilliant, but it has headers, and cats too - so maybe its not representative of what you'd get with just silencers/cats.

Give Phil a ring at Tech 9, it won't be cheap (it never is) but the CG stuff is excellent (CG market RS stuff).
