Hi, just brought my first Chimaera 4L and love it, but my last cars have been a 911 and an evo, when revving the v8 it almost sounds like a missfire but I don't think it is am i just to used to high reving motors? it seems quick but not as quick as the evo. Cheers

Should be smooth up to the rev limiter, which is a very noticeable hard cut.

Won't be as fast as the Evo. What revs is it happening at? If less than 5800 then likley a mis fire if over this then likely rev limiter - they all seem to cut in at different rev but not really below 5800.

New leads if below this number.

or plug extenders (likely) or plugs (less likely) or .....but agree it should be silky smooth through the useful rev range and any hint of misfire will be easily noticed and power-stealing.

You can get top end mis-fires when coil is shot. The old Lucas ones fail due to the under bonnet heat. Buy the direct replacement Bosch unit instead.

Well I expect you've got four of the beggars to go wrong, but luckily the Chimaera only has the one.
