Actually looks in proportion, although not Cobra proportions obviously.........

I reckon this is the first Hairdresser Cobra.

I actually think the Miata / MX5 is amazingly non-hairdresser for a rag top, but this re-body is the automotive equivalent of Medallion Man. It's what happens when you meddle with metal.

Still haven't seen a panel job that actually improves the original. I think James May, in amongst the journalese, was quite right in the main message of his article.
