...just in case you (and several other poor sods) didn't receive my frothing txt last night.

No doubt about it, there really is something to be said for this 2wd pork lark, or "pure Porsche" as the boy Fearns put it, as I peeled myself from the 'holy sh1t!' seat.

My right arm was frying against some steaming oil line behind me but as the nose tracked a line with consumate accuracy, it hardly mattered as the sten gun soundtrack split the night air.

Characterised by immediate throttle response, this lightweight 964RS made short work of any individual or small procession of hesitant numptitiant.

Through the bends it felt a class apart, damped to perfection it now made perfect sense why I'd previously seen these cars make mincemeat of more contemporary, expensive 911s round Silverstone.

This indominatability translated phenomenally on a couple of medium paced roundabouts, Herr Fearns skitting through with a blinding display of repeated, minute oversteer and multiple, stabbing lock.

It seemed that the way to go was full bore, or badger nest...this is one 911 that demands great respect but will roll over and let you scratch it's furry bits but it must be preferrable to have a lion tamer to hand.

Absolutely brilliant, a sublime driving experience dynamically and sonically so overall, vast plaudits.

DeR, contemplating heather.

Oi!

Here's me bored at work and want a laugh so take a look at Der's profile; to read more wise rantings about his comendable distaste for the proletariat and the laws they so sheepishly enjoy living under. Only to see PH's own master of the dictionary, which one im not sure, has been out for a play in das rot baron.

glad you had fun, the day after you had a play i took it off dom's 3 year old road tyres and put it on toyo 888's, the difference was staggering so much so im really disappointed you experienced it before ! (silverstone 24th...)

A-ha, Francois! Would that be this looming August 24th, perchance?
