looking at 1999/2000 boxsters with over 100k on the clock.

i'm on a pretty tight budget £13-14k max spend.

what are people's first reactions?

are porsches built like tanks or should i keep saving? ...(only prob is my TT drops value all the time so i'd like to get rid for a boxster)

i dont know much about boxsters but with 996's aslong as they have regular services and been looked after (had consumables replaced like clutch brake disks etc etc) then miles dont matter,

im sure that goes for boxsters too.

get a CTI check done by porsche and they will tell you what the probs are (if any) then you can put a official porsche warranty on it for 725 quid giving a manufacturers warranty = peace of mind.

i'm looking at a 99 s with 110k on the clock.

I have a high spec 51 plate TT which I rekon I is worth 13k so I rekon it may be a straightish swap.

what would people value a 99 boxster with 100k miles?

Don't expect miracles ... Porsches are renowned for punching thru the hi mileage , but it does come at a cost ... Expect to spend more money on maintenance .. If it's a daily driver this could be a problem for you.

HOWEVER ... You'll be getting a fab car for peanuts, and most of the depreciating will already be done.

DO get a porsche warranty .. Remember tho it's only good for the first 125k miles.
