AJP8 + T5

Managed a trial fit of the AJP8 engine and T5 gearbox in the Dolomite Sprint last weekend,
But have hit a large problem,
Is there a remote gear lever kit to bring the gearlever approx 7 to 8 inche's further forward.
Or is there a differnet tail housing I could use.

try the griff/chim remote setup it should be close

Does the Griff/Chim use the same gearbox as the Cerb.

Thought I'd kept mine from my conversion but checked an does not look like it now - all it was really was a couple of rosejointed linked attached to the cage above the gearbox to move it to where needed.

If you mail me your email address i'll send you a pic of the remote linkage.
It will fit,you'll have to tap a male threaded rose joint onto the Cerb bellhousing.
Bell Hill Garage in Bath will have some.
It's a simple but very effective linkage.

Couldn't be ar#ed to make one.

Only because Douglas valley sold me one.

Some others no names mention will only sell with the gearbox.

I feel a trial Fitting weekend coming on.

WELL CHUFFED.

Finally (Saturday) today got to trial fit the AJP8 and T5.

Need to get the engine assy it it's final resting place then make up the engine and gearbox mounting's.

Brake servo and master may have to be moved as well as the Clutch master.

Suspension turret's will also need fettling so I can use the TVR exhaust manifold's.

And I measured it completly wrong and dont need the Griff gearlinkage now. (Ebay is calling)
