Bike Transportation
Discussion
when I have my frame aligment checked, I hired a Merc Sprinter Van (My bike is an Africa Twin, so very tall). cost me £35 for the van, and about £40 for fuel.
My neighbour races bikes. he is a builder by trade, and has an old transit van. he uses 2 scaffolding planks to get his gsxr1000 and his mates R1 into the back for track days. A few tiedown straps and his toolbox and he's good to go.
£200 plus sounds a tad expensive ...
Ill do it for £200 ( hire a trailer and tow the bike up with my car for ya )

Hmm, considered all the above but I'd heard nasty stories of removal companies not getting it right and bikes being found on thier sides at destination.
Much the same with putting a bike in the back of an ordinary transit etc.
Oh well at least there should be no fear of it being damaged, even if it is pricey.
