Bought the missus a nice new sleek LG slidetop phone. We've put it through the recommended run in charge up cycle. The battery is crap, really crap. This was to replace a shiny Nokia from about a year ago. The battery was crap, really crap. Wondering are there any sleek stylish fliptop/slidetop phones these days that have a strong battery? I'm used to my old dented, scratched 6310.. it's great! She's having to charge it daily & if we forget its kaput.

Can't help with different options I'm afraid, but I got a Nokia 8800 just over a year ago and the battery life was shocking at first and steadily improved over about two months of charge cycles. It's still not good, but it's tolerable now.

turn off bluetooth if you are not using it, it will double battery life.

Good advice. My daughter's got the LG Chocolate (think this is the same as the one you're talking about?) - the battery is not brilliant but she tells me she gets 2-3 days between charges.
