I'd be interested to see the maths behind that. It seems to show the characteristics acceleration curve up through the gears indicating that the car is power limited in most gears. Cars with more power than grip usually show a different behaviour, with constant acceleration in all gears up to the point it becomes power limited. If you have downforce (as Ash is planning to have, I think) you can even get the opposite effect where the acceleration increases with speed. I've seen some data logging from a Ginetta with a full aero package that showed this effect very strongly in the wet.
Since Ash is predicting something of the order of 1000 bhp per ton, I'd expect it to be traction limited up to fairly high speed.

TJW - yup its pretty impressive, it is a simulation, the numbers crunched in were pretty accurate, just have to wait and see how the real thing performs.

Peter, I ran the numbers past a few techs just a few days ago and they seem to be as accurate as possible, but its the traction co-eff which can vary greatly depending on tarmac type, will have to see how the real thing turns out.
The interesting thing is the scuderia tyres are specifically designed for top-speed stability, bridgestone reckon they should sustain up to 270 with adequate cooling, I guess we'll find out at the time, no run-flats here - so buggered if they go, but will be fitting an all-four infra-red TMS setup to keep an eye, the RE050a scuderias have a very high temp rating, so all the better... but who knows... trial and error, just hope nothing goes amiss... sods law though...
