test drove a 997 tt.. some views over my gt2
Discussion
Just a few points on what i thought of car...
1: steering is very vague and not as direct as my gt2
2: the car is quite soft even with the harder setting, dont think its as stiff as a 997 s to drive.
3: turbo lag is were the car showed best... not that much compared to my gt2
4: car felt a bit tight as its new but im not sure if its as quick as a gt2.. certainly very close
5: serious grip compared to a rwd gt2... think this could be a bit boring after a while.
In all a serious good car but in my mind not worth a extra 50k over a second hand gt2...cant wait to drive 997 gt2....!! What u think on my comments(people who have driven both 997tt and 996 gt2s)..???

Not driven either, but several reviews now have mentioned the steering doesn't feel as direct as other 997's or indeed the 996 TT. Autocar mentioned this in their review too, saying the 996TT had better steering feel.
Performance wise I am sure there isn't much in it, power/weight ratio's are pretty similar.
Not a lot has changed I feel from the 996TT in that its an awesme car that does the hard work for you, meaning its not so much of a challenge to drive as the C2 versions of the model and therefore isn't perhaps the "drivers choice" of the range, but still an awesome car.

So whereabouts in the good old UK do you ever get the chance to see these exotic speed levels?? Top speed is almost an irrelevance unless blasting up and down Bruntingthorpe is what what floats your boat
Lincolnshire.

Sorry, should have made it clear, only have one 997 at the moment, the 2S went for the 4S, then the 4 went and Turbo came. Promised Bund I'd dig out a photo before...and will do.
Sorry Delta i cant remember asking but photos would be good all the same. Have you had a CGT as well?
