Red Glow TVR owners - be extra careful not to ding your motors. Seems the paint costs £120 for 0.5 Litres.

Heads off to apply for second mortgage

Also beware as it does fade but not to the same extent as Rooso Pearl so you might end up having to get a full car respray.

I asked 2 TVR bodyshops about this when my Rosso Cerbera needed a respray and neither would guarantee they would be able to match the paint in the future so i went for Nightfire Red (light Version)

rosso 1 2 and 3 all had high levels of an ink based product in them and will sun bleach red glow has a man made pigment in it and is more stable as a pigment and less likely to fade the cost of this type off pigment is set by the manufacturer of it not us but you also must note that a lot of TVR colours are my colours and I hold the fromulations .The rights to these paints belong to TVR you bought the car you chose the colour so if you prang it don't winge about the cost of repairing it if you have a problem RING ME i'm not unapproachable but I'm no idiot aether

Are you saying you can supply paint direct? If so I might be interested if the factory are not in the mood to supply (my dealer - Hendrys told me they've had trouble getting ANY paint from the factory recently 'due to supply issues').

Let me know.

Could be wrong but I thought the 'Gerbil' was the chief paint man at TVR factory so would not be able to supply paint direct but is very useful for info on the paint used on our motors.

Just finished work and came across paint thread.
Ive got a 96 chim, halcyon midas pearl ,and am having front end respray soon.
My concern is ,how close is the match going to be to the rest of the car, which looks very pearly.
Any advice chim lovers please.

Maybe I got the wrong end of the stick.

Gerbil - My T350 has a loose headlight lens cover and needs a nose job to fix (peeling paint around cover). The car is Red Glow in colour. Once the clutch is fixed next week I'll be getting some bodyshop quotes.

Al, my car is Red Glow Pearl and the Body Code is TVR116...This should be the colour code (I think) Gerbil(Kevin) will correct me if wrong.
I think a certain firm in Poulton might be able to do Red Glow cheaper!!!!

The trouble is matching Red Glow...I've had two touch ups supplied ( in the last 6 months) by the factory and both are completely different shades. The correct one I got when Gerbil did some respraying on the car and it matches perfectly. Rover Nightfire was a better match than the 1st one supplied.
