My car has been in the garage for about 3 months, doing nothing. Today, I took all the cardboard boxes off the bonnet, opened up the garage doors, warmed her up and went for a short blast, just to make sure nothing had seized. I wish...
1) Boost - I am getting nothing more than 1.2bar on the dashboard reader. I know it should go to around 1.8bar, and the car is very slow. About as slow as a Boxster. The obvious one is to check for vacuum leaks, which I plan to do tonight. Are there are other causes of loss of boost???
2) Cooling Fan - You know, the one that kicks in for 30 seconds after you've turned the engine off (this despite the fact that I let it idle for 60 seconds beforehand). So, the fan kicks in, and doesn't switch off...
To save the battery from being drained I disconnected the neg. terminal, but is there a relay or switch that turns off ONLY the cooling fan??? I want to be able to attach the battery again without the fan draining the power.
Thanks
