Which wheels for trackday?

I am thinking of using my Mk3 Scamp as a trackday weapon. Don't laugh, it has a Swiftune 1293 motor, is basically a roll cage with a wheel at each corner, is extremely light when all the removable bits (doors, roof, passenger seats etc) are removed and handles remarkably well (better than a mini maybe??) At the moment it has a 3.4 diff and 12" wheels. Would 10" wheels be the better option for track days? Apart from better handling would the better acceleration using the 10" wheels make the drive more enjoyable and preferable to the outright top speed with the 12"?

There is no question that 10" wheels handle better than 12" and epecially 13" wheels. However 10" wheels will not fit over the newer 8.4" discs, so check the disc size..
