Vesuvius Metallic?

OK, I'm toying with the idea of buying an earlyish 996 C4 next spring/summer but don't like a lot of the colours on offer. I think my choices are:

- Vesuvius Metallic
- Some kind of Metallic Black
- Zenith Blue

I don't like/want Speed Yellow or any kind of grey or dark blues/greens.

I've only seen Vesuvius in a magazine ad - does anyone have pictures of a 911 in this colour?

Suggestions on other suitable colours?

I thought Vesuvius was a special colour on the 993C2S limited edition... do they do it for the 996?

I beleive it was available on early 996,,,,but as you can imagine from it's huge popularity this didn't last long.
Go to www.autobahn.co.uk they have a '99 996 in this colour.

To be honest Trefor,photographs do not do this colour justice,you really need to see the car on a sunny day to appreciate it.

Vesuvius is a unique colour, appearing dark from afar and appears metallic deep aubergine/purple in the daylight. I'd go for it personally, the only consdieration would be it's ease-of-resellability; black,silver,blue sell easier but are also more common.

Yeah, thanks - I just want something a little different. I'm used to bright colours (see my profile for an example). I guess Guards Red/Orient Red work too ...

Trying to put off test driving/looking at cars at dealers until I'm ready to sell my Chimaera ... after 5 years I still get excited about driving it. Sad eh?

Replace I'm afraid. If I get one, I can feel a nasty Westfield rash coming on too though ... Bought a house with a nice big double garage, but the girlfriend's TT lives in the other side (for some reason they're a bit nickable).
