Hi All I may be selling my griff and getting a T350 or a Tomora. So a few questions.
Having read all the engine posts etc on here I was wondering if now the later speed six is reliable enough for me to own .Please add a quick post If you had engine problems,ie Problem ,Resolution,Cost, or milage age and no problems. I have now heard parts are available for this engine what would be the cost in parts alone to do a rebuild. Once rebuilt with the later parts do the engines last. Cheers Jason Cook

Best thing is to get the extended factory warranty - then repairs cost nowt. The engine has constantly been improved. Newer cars are pretty good, but its too early to tell whether a 2005/2006 engine will last 50-60k without needing a rebuild. Look in the Speed Six engine forum for more info.

Obviously more people talk about problems than not having problems. My engine has done around 13k and the head gasket went in April. Got the car back 7 weeks later and it went 500 miles later (I'd been gentle with it since too). Just got it back again today - hope its right now. My dealer said they'd had a number of factory rebuilds go wrong within a few weeks - hopefully they've got over the issues now.

Third party rebuilds seem pretty comprehensive and seem to cost 4-6k depending on what you need doing.
