XR400 - OWNERS VIEWS & Registering for road use

I am looking at purchasing a Honda XR400 and was interested to hear from anyone who has one.

Looking to use it for road to and from work n a bit of green laning.

The one i am interested in needs to be road registered has anyone gone down this route - is there much to it or much cost involved??

could be a load of hassle ,may be cheaper to buy 1 already registered .

Worst thing about an XR400 is the kick start, if you can afford it consider anything else with a go button. As for registering on the road I think you'd have more trouble finding one that isn't as most are used for endure/greenlaning. But the bottom line is they are a bit long in the tooth now and feel like cumbersome lumps fo lard in comparisson to the more modern stuff, I certainly wouldn't want to commute on one.
