Well the kids have been giving me hell all day and I can't find anything in the cupboard for my dinner. Have resorted to making bad jokes on the internet.

Which isn't actually accurate in my experience since it only shows reported problems if you can't get through to let them know they'll never know. I had a problem 2 weeks ago, my connection was dropping and not coming back, sometimes had to wait an hour before it would and then only by unplugging the router and I suppose getting a new conenction (the router was not a fault as I tried others). I contacted BT, well when I say I contacted I listened to an automated menu system that when I finally got the right option and put through was told this wasn't the right option and I needed to dial a different number. That put me through to somebody who kept wishing me "a good day sir" who said he couldn't perform a line check as his tools weren't working and someone would contact me after 3 days and could I give him my mobile number, no you can't have it I said well aware of the fact they will know it's a Vodafone number so they'll sell it onto other operators no doubt to try and get me to change. I gave them the land line number on which the Broadband is conencted and I have never had a call back. Ok I haven't had a re-occurance of the problem to complain, until today. When I experienced the same connection problems. Although I think today the storm was probably to blame, problems were after the storm had passed though.

Well anyway its still out of action now

I've sampled the various delights on offer of their freefone-chase
across continents to no avail

And I had the temerity to criticise NTL's laughable efforts
the other day,
when My son was left high & dry the other day again

that'll teach me

One thing one of my more than clued up friends said was to check the BT line filters, each one. As one of those may have failed. Take each one out in turn, making sure you don't have a phone still connected on that socket and try to connect to the internet each time.

There's been something funny going on with my BT connection for about 3 days now, it's fine for the majority of websites (PH, Google etc) but it keeps 'hanging' on others (youtube etc). Starting to get on my nerves now.

I went down Maplins and bought a shiny new one, not thst it helped

however I have successfully masqueraded as a complete stranger and reported a fault on my own phone line courtesy of BT's 'report a fault' service
as the broadband dept strenuously denied there was anything AT ALL
wrong with it ANYWHERE

And now I'm waiting for an IMAGINEER to contact me on a mobile number

still waiting,

and
a
bit longer.....

It's a bit iffy for me today, sometimes it's there sometimes it's not. This always happens when they're about to put their prices up again!

Mines playing up at the mo, I can't get any email but can surf. This sometimes goes the other way round and I can email but not surf.
They cocked my billing up last month and threatened to cut me off because my card had been refused, when I phoned the card company they hadn't even requested the money.
