windows movie maker - few questions
Discussion
hello there
been playing with windows movie maker to try and put a video together of our "gumball type holiday" we arranged back in june.
is there any way I can add a small logo on every frame like ITV or sky have in the corner ?
is it best to make each part seperatly, as in we went to lemans then reims then lux then the ring, I have made the Lux video seperatly and started the houx annex roundabout vid as a seperate video with the idea of compressing it as one file then adding it to the main film when ive finished it all.
I only did it this way cos the movie maker program was crashing and I thought it might have been becuase there was too much going on.. .. .. .. .. ..
it cant be low spec PC making it crash as I have a DTR laptop with 1gb DDR2 @ 1055mhz, raid0 7200rpm drives (two 60gig so 120gb theoretical) and a P4EE3.7gig CPU with Nvidia 6800 Ultra MXM pcie card in it.
I am although using files across the network on 1gb ethernet aswell as using files on my PC, mabe this is making it crash?
any help would be greatfully appreciated.
cheers.

Are you working with DV quality files (.avi - straght from a camera?) If so I'd say the crashing could well be lack of RAM. 1 min of full monty vid is about 200 - 250 mb - so if your film is say 5 mins long, it's already creating a file 1 gb in size.
If you've then got lots of cuts, fades and FX the poor old 'puter migh well be getting pi55ed off with you.
