I just wrote to them about the figures in that article - they quoted some from Autocar but it looks like when Autocar did the test they must have had a caravan hitched up...

Cliff - you're not the only one lethargic now - Sciencebird and I did the London to Cambridge cycle ride, Vette did a great job of transporting the bikes to and from our meeting point!

I thought those figures were a bit iffy myself,how did you both do on the cycle run?,how long did it take? and hows the saddles.
I went to a place called Wallingford where the town had a local fete hosted by none other than the Mayor i entered another 5K,time was much the same as thursdays but this time i got stuck behind on a thin track,picked my way across a cow pat field and had to go through 3 gates hehe...but i loved every minute of it.
