A strong smell of petrol started to come into the car this morning, and on further investigation I found a small jet of petrol coming from the main rubber supply house straight onto the exhaust manifold!!!
Does anyone know the inner diameter of this hose and how long it is, also how difficult it is to fit, one end disappears under the car so I assume access is from under the car?
Tried TVR Blackpool who wouldn't give me any details of the hose for 'legal reasons'

Should be 8mm bore, get fuel injection hose NOT ordinary fuel hose, because of the pressure requirements. some cars have metal pipe to the bulk head .

See my thread re strong smell of petrol about a week ago!
Internal dia is 12mm, try getting that from Halfwords.
Depending on the year (possibly day or hour) the car was made, the tank/fittings are different. HHC showed me the different options!. On mine there was a 50mm length of pipe onto a LARGE brass union into an alli tank. This pipe fitted a bent brass pipe over the suspension arm, onto a 100mm length of 12mm dia pipe, to the fuel pump. Some tanks have a filter direct to the tank, in about 95-96 ish the tank became steel rathe than alli. the 50mm pipe onto the tank union passes through the forward edge of the boot, behind the tank and mine had hardened and started to leak. Bet it could rub on fibreglass and chaffe too, but mine was sealed with black sealant stuff. Tell tale sign is the afformentioned "strong smell of petrol and puddle under lh side of tank. There is a gap between tank and floor to get your finger or piece of kitcken roll in to test for depth!
Tank out, petrol over floor, still a strong smell of petrol in downstairs netty. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, it turned out to be 7mm ID which took a while to find, had a Ford logo on the side but they said they no longer supply 7mm, only 6 or 8mm, got some in the end though.
Had lots of fun yesterday fitting it, had to take off the plenum chamber, heater hoses and bonnet catch to get at the clip holding the hose onto the metal pipe which was sitting on top of the gearbox behind the engine, why join them in such an inaccessible place ?
Anyway, job done now in spite of the very unhelpful man at TVR Blackpool.

Never heard of 7mm fuel line, did it have 7mm printed on it ? if you measured the ID you need to cut the hose a few inches from the end because the jubilee clip will distort it and give a inaccurate measurement, i've only ever seen 8mm

It had 7mm printed on the outside, also did what you suggested and cut the pipe in the middle and measured it, 7mm.
I couldn't find 7mm exactly, used some 7.4mm which was the nearest I could find, but it was a tight fit anyway.
Perhaps 8mm would have also been OK?
Is it 'normal' for the join to be in such a stupid place?

Thanks

And if you remove your own head it will make looking for the problem easier too.
Sorry, having an even worse day than yesterday!
