Oil leak on gearbox help!!
Discussion
Hello there.
Is it dripping from behind the gearbox output flange?
If so you can remove the prop and undo(while in gear)the large center nut and lever the old seal out.
If you careful not to damage it you will find a number on it which your local bearing supplier can match up.
Drift the seal in with a tight fitting socket and some oil on the seal and fit the flang and prop, check the box level and your away
Hope this helps.rob

Excellent
If you don't want to visit a dealer then this chap who has an ebay shop may help. I've had numerous bits from him for diffs and gearboxes and he delivers quickly.
Transmission rebuild kits - Type 9 oil seal
This does assume that the prop has the same outside diameter as a Sierra one. Can't see any reason why it shouldn't though.
