Schuey's $billions
Discussion
Can't really see it to be honest. (I assume you're referring to the article in this month's F1 Racing magazine)
If he had another 5 years left in him then he might do it for the fresh challenge but I think he'll do another year, maybe 2 at Ferrari then call it a day.
As for what he'll do after that, I've heard rumours that Audi are tapping him up for DTM but I think he'll stay in some capacity at Ferrari.

Schuey doesn't really need the cash so it's down to what takes his fancy nowadays. It's have to be a monster wad of cash to see him out of a donk and into something else. He lives next door to my dad - house is not even finished yet and it's fookin massive...!!!
Schuey lives next door to your dad! Done well for himself!
Yeah, Schuey's done OK, but it must be said he's at the chav end of the estate

What makes you think BMW can afford him ? ? ? Probably the smallest car manufacturer among the rest? ? ?
It almost makes you wonder what *will* he do after racing? He has indicated he wants to stay in F1 but who can afford his price/desires? All I can think if he takes part ownership in an existing or new team or if he is paid with stock - perhaps work for Bernie!!!!

I'm pretty sure BMW's earnings are higher than Renault's and Mercedes'.
BMW's earnings will probably are smaller than both of them if you base them on vehicle production numbers.
Manufacturers by Car and Light Commercial Vehicle Production (1,000 units) for 2005
General Motors 9,040
Toyota 7,100
Ford 6,418
Volkswagen Group 5,173
DaimlerChrysler 4,319
PSA Peugeot Citroën 3,375
Honda 3,373
Nissan 3,348
Hyundai-Kia 2,853
Renault-Dacia-Samsung 2,617
Suzuki-Maruti 2,072
Fiat 1,934
Mitsubishi 1,327
BMW 1,323
Mazda 1,285

Earnings per vehicle sold then
Point is, going back to what PiB said, it doesn't matter how big or small the manufacturer is, if, for example, Renault lose a dollar on every car sold and BMW make a dollar, that would make me think BMW could afford him.Gassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
