Well ive been looking all afternoon for the alarm fob and couldnt find it . Took the key apart and checked it out , corroded to buggery , gave it a clean , and it still diddnt work , Got multi meter out of the car , batterys flat as a fart , Soo took a stroll down to the post office managed to get 2 replacement batterys , stuck them in and it now works .

And just to top it off , on looking for something else in a draw founs my bike doc's with spare fob

Sounds about right!

I lost a transformer for a Roland plotter. Searched high and low for it, gave up and bought another from a Roland distributor for £80.00

Found the original in a box, in the loft not 48 hours later - wife had been 'tidying up'.....

Sheesh!

Glad to hear that you got it working again

My missus put my 8meg memory stick through the wash a couple of months ago When I found out I stuck it straight in the airing cupboard with the boiler and left it for a day to dry out. When I plugged it in it had lost all the data, read porn but after formatting it works just fine

These modern-day gizmos are much more resilient than the old stuff

Firstly, glad to hear you bought some kevlar jeans - great, aren't they!?

Secondly, your above problem is Nature's way of telling you to RIDE THE ING THING MORE OFTEN!

Jeez, even for a FWB you're a big girl I was out on Saturday, in jeans, in the worst rain/hail/thunder storm i've ever seen! *

*admittedly it was dry when I set off, but that's not the point dammit!
