Warped-feeling, but not warped!
Discussion
A few months ago I had brand new Tar-ox discs & pads fitted all round on my V6 Alfa GTV. After about 1000 miles of gentle bedding-in, I started to notice vibrtion when using the brakes more forcefully, and it's been getting worse and worse. I left my car with the garage I normally use, and they diagnosed warped discs, so had them machined (both faces were out) and checked the mounting face of both the disc and hub. I also had the lower wishbones replaced as the bushed were getting worn.
When I collected the car they held their hands up and said they were stumped - the 'warped-disc' feeling is still there!
Anyone any suggestion or know where I should take it? Ideally a specialist in the North West/Cheshire

Mangoletsi are probable the biggest and most experienced Alfa guys in that part of the world - but you probably know them already!
As for the "warped disc" thing, I've had it too on occasions. Can't ever sort it out permanently but it might be worth putting the front wheels on the back and the backs on the front to see if it makes any difference - often, it does. Why? Damned if I know!
Often "warped" discs aren't really warped at all. If they're not bedded in properly, you can get uneven deposits from the pads left in patches on the disc surface. As they pas through the pads, they grip more and then less as they pass out - so it feels like a warped disc. Mind you, skimming the discs should have sorted that!
Another possibility is that the disc and hub aren't sitting absolutely flat agains teach other. Any tiny bit of rust will cause this. make sure the inner surface of the disc bell and the hub are perfectly clean.
Something else I've heard, -(don't know if its true!)is that if wheel nuts are over-tightened, they can sometimes cause the disc to distort like a wavy washer. Get the nuts tightened to the manufacturer's spec with a torque wrench and see if that helps.
Some plausible sounding stuff on here too:
