plug extenders

please can someone tell me if the plug extender things are needed as i have one missing.thanks.

The car will run without one, but the lead will eventually be cooked by the exhaust maifold.
Some are more prone to this than others as some are very close to the manifold pipes.
Someone will be here in a bit to tell you the best place to buy them, I cannot remember the name of the company.
You can get them from a vauxhall dealer(or good auto factors as I did) as they were fitted to Astra cars, but you will pay about 11 quid a piece.
