Had my 997 Carrera (non S) for 4 months and love it to bits. Only slight disappointment is the sound level so considering an aftermarket exhaust.

However... aesthetically I love the look of the single pipe exhausts on my non-S Carrera (apologies to all Carrera S owners..) and would like to keep this look. Does anybody know of any aftermarket exhausts systems that fit a 997 Carrera but could keep the original exhaust pipes (or similar)? Have considered the Porsche system but really don't like the four pipe look.

Also, whats the situation with fitting aftermarket exhausts for Porsche Warranties?

Tubi (as per the advertising banner above)?

As fo rthe warranty, same as on any other car. Porsche would need to show that an aftermarket exhaust was responsible for any problems which develop. Does give them more room to try and manouver out of a claim though.

Had a look at the Tubi site before... Maybe just being stupid but again their exhaust package for the 997 is a four pipe version...

grant3... How right you are..!! When I said 'slight disappointment' I really meant 'slight disappointment after scaring London pedestrians in my loan AMV8 for two weeks...' !!

Now how do I fit an AMV8 engine in the back of my 997...??

PS - grant, saw the pic on the aston forum - congrats, a real beauty (and same colour as mine..!!)

...I think the onus is on the punter to prove that the aftermarket exhaust did NOT cause any problem?
