Still trying to get a good quote for the renewal this year. (runs out tomorrow )

The only company I have found who offer road cover that includes trackday cover (4 inc then £150 each) is Comp car ins. They want £1700 (last year it was £700 with Autotorque who won't/cant renew me)

Help please! Are there any others that you guys know of?

Anybody tried www.tradexinsurance.co.uk before - they insure the person rather than the cars so if you've got more than one car they cover you with one policy.

I've not used them so can't comment price or track day cover but the principle seems good.

I have just rung all the companies listed above. (thanks Rob) Could not get cover from any of them!

Finally went with Comp Car insurance. (steve)

29 yrs old, Cambridge, garage, 1 yr NCB (7 on work car) (40% discount given I think) 8 points and 2 claims in last 3 yrs.

£1420 with 4 inc TD's and 1% per day after that. £800 excess on road and £3500 ex on track.

Thats double what I paid last year but it seems that its just about the only policy I could find this year!

Lets hope I am more insurable next year or the car will have to get replaced with an exige.

edited to add

Actually just checked again, and extra TD's after my free 4 are 0.5% of the car so £175 for me. Not too bad I guess.

Best get booking up some days then!

Ask Nathan what he had to pay after he damaged his Noble at the ring. Will make you feel better

Just thought I'd add an update to save some phoning around, & going thru the kerfuffle of telling your life story just to get a quote...

Aon no longer cover Nobles apparently, full stop , not just me
So I tried competiton car Ins who quoted me approx £200 more than std road only cover from Tesco, direct line, etc. Limited to 5k mile

4 trackdays inc , then 0.5% of car value

I have no association with them , but I considered it a good deal IMO !

Aon have offered me cover? Cheapest quote i could find too? As i have no real proof of performance car ownership and as i have 3 convictions (see previous posts) i cannot get anyone to offer trackday cover.

To clarify , Aon said they no longer Insure M12's for new business, as they have changed thier underwriters, and they no longer accept them.

Have you tried www.moris.co.uk ? They do track only cover, then get a road only policy from a specialist broker that deals with multiple convictions.

It's probably not the cheapest option , but you may get the cover you want.
