Momo have just released their 'Prototipo' steering wheel that was used by the Porsche works cars in the 70's. It's 14", black, round pierced 3 spoked and just the thing to replace my std, rectangular horn push item in my '89 Carrera.
So, anybody know how to remove the existing wheel please?

Yep,

Be brave mon ami,

Pull the outer part of the centre rotate your wrists inwards as you do this and it will pop off, takes a bit of heave.... and then IIRC a 24mm nut in the centre to finish....

I wrote a piece on this on my website with pics.
