Advice for SEAC dash removal

DON'T FREAKIN BOTHER - failed and now have to waste another day to replace the bits i did manage to remove. And another thing - don't loose your temper and start removing wires/plugs without labelling them

Doubt it Jeff. Where I got stuck is the Speedo/rev counter panel - theres one nut that i just can't get a spanner or socket on as half of the nut is obstructed by something! Just gonna have to ref fit it all and get it to a garage and let them do the remote bushes from underneath. I hate being beaten

Dicky dont worry about it ..... Just DONT go cutting anything of with the tin snips

Might be why mine is pressed in and not screwed. The one nut that holds the outer in is missing. I was going to re fix it as it pops out on launch at times but cannot get to it.

Dicky, I didn't find the remote bushes were THAT difficult from underneath: you just need a long socket extension to reach the front ones.

dont forget if its a seac then the gear box tunnal is smaller to get your hands around the gearbox
get it put on a ramp and have a look i think the only way could be to remove the dash if you can get it from below then you might also have to remove some of the exaust system

Dicky,.... second thoughts it may be less trouble and stress to cut your gonads off with a pair of tin snips, why not just try one .... see how it goes
