Well after last weeks episode, both the Murcie and the 360 were on the track at Bruntingthorpe at the weekend. After a mini tornado on Saturday brought a huge canopy down on 50 people (quite badly injuring some unfortunate guy), on the Sunday the Lambo threw its accessory belt (drives water pump/alternator etc), then not an hour later the 360 decided to give up the ghost and decided it liked neutral and nothing else. Arrrgh! So it was back home with my mate Rick courtesy of Lambo assistance in a truck, and the 360 is still there and needs rescuing. First time its ever let me down me old Lambo. Got a call and its a loose idler pulley (whatever that is).I do miss it when its not around though. Keep looking in the empty garage to check its not found its own way back. Does anyone else feel like this about their car!

I only have a little Elise but I was parted from it for 3 days last year and it wasn't a nice feeling!

Refitting belts should be a cheap job

A couple of glitches - the next 25k miles will be plain sailing

Sorry to hear that Simon...

I lost my only set of keys to the 6ltr, and was looking at a £3500+++ job to replace the locks, both fuel pumps + ECU (and reflashing the rest of the 22 ECUs).

Lead time for parts was 10 weeks......... Could have cried Luckily I put some posters up around the development I live at currently with reward and somebody came forward... As I gave him a £100 told him he'd just saved me £3500 ... I could see the cogs working in his head "should have held him to ransom" ;D

Crikey that was lucky!! I've lost my spares for the Lambo too. That also happened to me with the 360 but after appealing on Fchat for the previous owner, a friend on the Isle of Man knew the previous owners cousin who travelled to the guys house, picked up his spares and couriered them to my house the next day.Power of the internet eh!!

well it WAS still there...till I read this

unlucky dude....i think you might be discovering the 30K miles supercar issue! I'm sure there is a very very clever bloke somewhere who has found a way of synchronising supercar parts and 30k miles....that was about the point the first niggles appeared with mine (admittedly a far, far worse built car than yours)...and then it had a years worth of repetitive minor anoyances - snapped cables and ties, gasket issues, cylinders shutting down randomly and ECU problems. Had to replace tons of bits in a short time having done sod all previously which is a bit annoying......

Hope this is the end of your woes though. and 3.5K for new locks Jonny? dear god!

Sold the Masser at the begining of the year on a longer term plan for a new motor. Deeply regret doing it.... The garage feels empty and i struggle to do the "Cars in the park" thing.

The MINI is nice, just far too normal!

Yeap I completely agree. The curse of the 30-35,000 mile range. Best thing is to drive those miles very quickly over a short period of time (ideal just one long trip) in an attempt of skipping the effect.

Guess what Simon.......maybe you can return the favor!! The former owner of my Murcie still has the spare keys!! Be a pal, if you see him, twist his arm for them would you?

In the States so I believe. Hats off to him. Can't help liking people like that. Never forget seeing his Orange Murcie outside Living Room in Leeds where he'd just been refused entry for his dress code. So he opened the Murcie's bonnet and in front of a queue waiting to get in stripped off in front of everyone, then strolled in. Top lad
