After much deliberation and false starts I have purchased a 2006 Boxster from Porsche Centre Swindon

The car is a dealer demonstrator with 1,800 miles

2.7
Atlas Grey
Grey Hood
Black/Grey 2 Tone Full Leather
Sport Package with PASM
19" Carrera S Alloys
Park Assist

Plus lots of other odds and sods that I can't remember.

I have to say that the 1 hour test drive swung it. Followed by the fact that BMW dealers were not playing ball on the P/X.

Congrats!
But be warned, you'll need to start planning better... next time you "pop to the shops for some milk" you may be gone some time

Nope it is a dealer demo so the current car. The 245 bhp is from August 1st (Or so I am told).

It has stirred a bit of interest on PCGB, I have had a request for it to appear on the Anniversary stand at the bank holiday PCGB event in Oxford. I think it is down to the colour combo more than anything but allegedly a few people have never come across a 2.7 with PASM and 6spd.

to a

Subaru Legacy Spec B

to a

BMW M3

to a

Mercedes C220 CDI Sport Edition

to a

TVR Tamora

to a

Vauxhall VXR

to a .......

POrsche Boxster

(i may have missed a few out! LOL) I hate to think of the money you've lost, and think you may even have had more cars than Silverbackmike

In all fairness the 987 is a lot nicer than the 986 (particulary the cabin) so try an keep this one longer than 3mths!

Congratulations on another new car! ...does sound a nice spec too!

Hi Mustard, please don't remind me!!!!!

Some of them have been very very good (M3, VXR), some have been very good (986 Boxster, Impreza WRX) some have been very good but flawed (Tamora) and some have been utterly disapointing (Legacy Spec C and Mercedes C220).

Mustard....look at it from my point of view(other half).....she has been known to sell a car from under my arse!!!!!!

I particularly miss the A-class, the Impreza...the TVR wasn't her fault, so I'll forgiver her that one!!!

However the new Porsche does look mighty fine....
