Nuts (again)

Gentlepeeps. First off, majorly p*ssed off at missing BBWF this year, our first failure to attend but unfortunately duty called. Looked like another 1st class event. However, there is another wedge still alive and kicking and has just passed the MoT at the cost of a sidelight bulb and wiper blade!! What a car However, had to take the front wheels off to free up a sticky caliper (no probs) but whilst there found a couple of chewed wheel nuts and studs. So my questions are: 1. Where best to get new studs from? (will replace all, front and back) because... 2. I blame the cheapo chrome nuts I fitted so what are 'shinynuts' actually like on 350i lattice wheels / and how expensive ARE they exactly?!

Ford standard studs. Used right up to the Mondeo IIRC. Pop into your dealers.

The studs are a sort of splined fit into the hub: clout them with a hammer to get them out and, er, clout the new ones with a hammer to get them in

or as specified by ford pull new studs in with a nut and washer

Many thanks all. Didnt mean to sound hand-baggy, must be the heat. Have tried searching the forum for 'shiny nuts' but cant find any answers as to how much and one thread suggested they looked odd with the lattice wheels? I dont want to mess up the studs with cheapo nuts again.
