Love it to bits!

Its been totally brilliant since ive had it and its IMMACULATE. Last guy parked it in his garage on cream carpet! Only washed it once in three years becasuse it never got wet or dirty... its the 1994 TVR Motorshow car. Just need to waxoil it and do a service for winter as it is my daily driver.

Only thing is i seam to be getting around 12mpg around town and surrounding roads... sound about right?

Congratulations!!! Glad to hear you're enjoying it. Mine still brings a smile to my face everytime I drive it.
Fuel consumption depends on what you've been doing with it (and how heaby you are with your right foot). Fully loaded up, roof off on a motorway I can get almost 30. Around town, or with some 'enthusiastic' driving, it is way below that!!

Jeez I thought mine was low - 17-18 for normal commute, but that's only 9 miles each way, so cold engine - 21-22 on longer run, but that includes enthusiastic driving at times

I get 22 mpg with 'normal' driving, 12 mpg round a track.

Have you checked for fuel leaks? They could be dificult to spot in this hot weather. Also a bottle of injector cleaner might help.

Welcome! Fuel consumption does sound a bit low, I generally get 23-25 and up to 28 on a motorway...

Is it getting up to temperature okay?

Don't do it Greg - this guy's a stalker.......be warned. Also, he doesn't really have a TVR - he drives some sort of homemade sports car that he built from scratch in just 6 hours. It's got some serious horsepower though..........

Congratulations - she sounds like a beaut

Sounds like you need to make up for some lost time (and miles) and get those wheels spinning

I may. Sounds like fun. Not sure my skin's thick enough to cope with all the Porker Jobes I'd no doubt be subjected to. Jealousy is a terrible thing........

Can that be true?? I seem to drive mine for only 10miles or so and its already got a film of brake dust and general road dirt on it! Live in somerset so it isn't smog related or cow sh7t related! Just seems a bit optomistic or just never used...

Welcome and congtrats on the choice though!

Welcome to TVR ownership... you don't say if it's a 4.0 or a 5.0!!

Mines a 4.0 and I get around 20MPG on average (in warm conditions, drops in the winter)

How'd you do that?

I've got a 4l Chimp (same as you) and got 'tonked' by a scooby tonight - in a straight line...
