They are GTS nuts which protrude more than the VXR ones, can't be bothered spending £60 on shorter nuts p[lus I like them, being yellow they stand out more LOL

Bought 7 from Ebay via 2 suppliers totalling £560 in total inc carriage, only 6 useable, 4 in reasonable condition, 2 well curbed but can be made right.

You won't get a lot of change from £800 from a Vauxhall dealer for one wheel!

Nice one Will, they really freshen up the car don't they. I was considering doing the same, but was slightly put off by the need to change various suspension components etc. Not relevant now of course:-(

Its a good opportunity to run summer and winter tyres or are you flogging the old set?

I think I will keep the original wheels as spares, best option would be to fit slicks for track days. Duncan has a set for sale, slightly different wheels as island boy's car is a newer GTS model & Doug at LSV has two sets for sale that are mint condition by way of refurbishment that are just over £500 per set - don't quote me on prices but I'm sure I am not that much out on selling price.

Well no changes to suspension, only just run it with all wheels on & no rubbing issues. What alarmed me initially was putting old & new wheels together, the VXR ones looks to be 1.5" taller! Considering I was on 245 over standard 235 section on old wheels I was expecting them to rub on front arches when turning. Yes obviously new against worn tyres, when you do the maths they seem to be very similar, in reality they are not.

Thanks gentlemen for all your nice comments

I was certain that various changes needed to be done if you wanted to fit 19" to a GTS with standard suspension. I think it's basically the difference between the GTS-R which IIRC came with 19" as standard, but I'm talking about the VX and your suspension set up isn't standard anyway.
I'm sure someone with more technical knowledge will enlighten us.
