Is it going to worth ringing round any of the usual suspects for a renewal quote this year.
I've got my renewal price from my existing insurers and it's not too scary £365 including Euro breakdown cover
Thing is because the old girl is cracking on a bit these days the current scheme is a 'classic' policy which doesn't use my NCB, so they are now used on the Golf, so I'd need a company thats going to do a similar 'classic' type thing or will take into account the Golf NCB.

Any ideas?

Got a cracking deal on the Cerbera from Hagerty:

www.hagertyinsurance.co.uk/

Excellent service and the guys there really know their TVRs, plus they knocked over £100 off my renewal cost.

Look up there ^

A-plan did me well on the Beemer and should be able to knock a few hundred off the Cerb in a few months time when i renew.

I spent a week ringing around for mine, see my thread. Best place was direct line, £150 cheaper than anyone else for me

I used Mannings for my classic policy who were very competitive (~400 quid @ 29yrs old).
I asked A-Plan who told me that my £1500 quote was competitive, and it was due to TVR's not having the approved alarms and thereofre getting stolen frequently. I tried to argue that no-one else seemed to have that issue (other insurers, or my experience). They didn't agree though....

My precat is on a classic policy with Classicline, they dont take no claims, but will honour you with some if you leave them.
I have just paid £297 with them

That's who I'm with at the moment
Had a very competative quote from Hagerty but there are a few small print issues they have gone away to try and clear up

Tried them - for over 30's only apparently.

My A-plan renewal is approx £550 (27yrs, max NCB, but wife with 1 claim) No problems with the alarm from them.

No one else has come close yet. Mannings were £750 which is still quite good as it includes the track day aspect.

I went on a classic policy with Hagerty's. £400 fully modified, agreed value. 25 years old. Knocked £1000 or so off my premium. Hence i treated the car to the ACT Cherry Bomb system and a Front end respray.

Guys

Looking to invest in a tuscan in the next 2 months.
I just got a quote for a 2000 model Tuscan of £1500 (agreed value of £15,000).

I'm 32, clean licence, living in London docklands (or about to)
Full NCB, 1 prior claim for 4 new wheels due to mechanical failure (4 years ago).

Does this seem average for the car/area?
Are there any other tuscan owners living in East London?
I'd like to buy one but that is a fair amount of dough...
