Two things...

Am taking my stereo out (need it for something else) and can't be bothered to buy a new one since I never ever switch it on anyway. Any of you know if a blanking plate exists somewhere to buy? I have a Leven dash so nice chrome effect with "TVR" embosed would look great.

Also, I'm missing one of the hub TVR badges from a wheel. I saw a set go on flea-bay a few months ago but haven't seen any more. Anyone know where I can buy one?

Cheers.

Wheel centres are always on e-bay:

Blanking plate great idea - never seen one though (sorry)

Interesting question about the blanking cover. I've thought of making one myself in stainless. Never liked the appearance of the head unit: sticks out too far. I know an engraver and if he has the correct font, I'll get Griffith engraved upon it. You may have just spurred me into getting this underway.

The ebay things are transfers to go on existing wheel centres and I gather they're no good anyway. If you are missing a wheel centre (as I am) then you have to look elsewhere. There is a thread on here somewhere from about May last year if you search the forum where someone directs you to the right place. Haven't got round to it yet. If you get a set I'll buy one from you.

These are available from TVR dealers and not too expensive either (about £5 each for the badge and clip-in insert). I bought a full set for mine from Hexham HC as i couldn't stand the 'Too Fast, Too Furious' ones that were on mine when i bought it....

For the blanking plate, try a scrappie. I've got one from a Merc 190E which fits well and looks fine.

Thanks for all the help guys. Will probably buy the ebay ones anyway to just see if they're really any good. They quote that they're "thin ply aluminimum". Hmmn, we'll see.

Cheers

I'd tread carefully, they're exactly the same as the ones I bought from another guy which never turned up.....Paypal & EBay didn't refund the money even though they found in my favour!

The advert looks the same, and the area is the same, user name is different, but I've sent an e-mail to both eBay and the seller with regard to all of the above, and why they feel it is acceptable to steal from people - the guy had appaling feedback previously as 2005cdd......
