Has anyone tried this stuff? It has been recommended to me, and the website looks impressive (well, it would, I know), but I'm surprised it isn't better known if it's as good as I've been told.

Anyone?

heard the phraze too good to be true!

www.activ8.uk.com/

ignore and dont use it, a good quality fully synth engine and box oil will be way better

If it was any good it would be widely used, do this for a living and its avoided like the plague, old school technology. Its like using octane booster in 95 RON fuel insted of buying Super UL or optimax!

Hi Oliver, the answer is NO.
activ8 is based on chlorinated hydrocarbon technology (ie chlorine or bleach).
Yes it does make metal hard, and slippery, but in the presence of moisture, chlorines can degrade into acids. to answer your question NO it is not the same as AMETECH ENGINE RESTORE OIL, which is simply a conventional oil carrying billions of tiny copper lead spheres that repair your engine or gearbox. thanks daveb
anyone interested more info www.ametech.co.uk or 01728 726620
