liquid leather and steering wheel
Discussion
I'd be interested to know how you get on - I've got a steering wheel that could do with refeshing.
Word of warning though. I once used Auto Glym leather food on a worn sterring wheel - it made a right mess of it - the worn areas absorbed the moisture and became loose and bobbled.
I had black bits coming off on my hands for ages.
Bob.

Interesting....worn steering wheels.
Mine is nowhere near work, in fact has got beautifully shiny (though v slippery), like a pair of patent leather shoes..
Question - do you have PAS in your cars? I do, and I suspect this may result in less wear.
To answer the original question, I actually abrade my wheel with one of those green pan-scorers to get rid of the shine, then feed it with Liquid Leather.

Depends more on how many miles your car has covered ? Mine is a 94' with just over 19,000 miles on the clock and the steering wheel looks unused !

I have got 3 cars one of them is a tiv, I have used liquid leather and had v good results.
the result is not perfect but as good as.
its leaves a fantastic smell (like new leather)
I called in at the factory in todmerdon Halifax and spoke to the boss who was very helpful, and had a welth of knowlege about leather restoration.
It is well worth giving them a ring
Mark
