ok maybe theres nobody in the morecambe area but if anyone can enlighten me on chassis clearance ie:-only about 1" clearance from rear axle to chassis bottom rail and can easily lift the chassis and drop it on the rail ive got dax coilovers on the rear and just wondering if with a full fuel tank and a passenger this may not be a problem but i'm worried that on sva inspection they will pick up on the closeness of the chassis rail also should the rear trailing arms be level unladen as mine are dropped at about 1" from level in which case if i lower the springs the car will sit mighty high in the wheel arches anyway has anyone come across a simular problem thought maybe about cutting out the bottom rail and welding a support "A" frame around the axle but then the worry of rear impact comes to mind totaly stumped any ideas chaps

The angle of the arms sounds fine. I theory they should be level to avoid rear bump steer but 1" is not significent. Mine is much more of an angel than that and rear steer is not an issue.
The axle touching the chassis is an issue for sva. There should be at least as much bump travel as droop or up to 2/3ds bump to 1/3 droop anyway. I would set the ride hight for that and eiher replace the shocks with ones the right length or movve the brackets to suit. Failing that they may accept it on SVA with some rubber bump stops in place to cushion the axle from the chassis.
