Hi all
I just recieved a summons to go to court for speeding and would like to buy a book which I saw advertised a while ago, written by an ex traffic cop, giving information about loopholes in the law (ie ask to see the certificate for the calibration of the police officers radar gun!)
I dont know the name of the author or the title of the book, can anyone HELP please?

Thanks for your co-operation

you can email me direct or post here.

I think I know the book you mean, but I really would not bother. I will second the Pepipoo suggestion and also suggest that you pay for membership, you will find better more up to-date info on there and by subscribing you are helping to maintain a valuable public service.

Good luck

The information contained in it is already all over the net. It is also totally out of date. For example it is some years since radar guns have been used. Similarly it will give you such information such as dropping/throwing a pen across the room and getting the police officer to assess its speed in order to disprove him.

Of course, if it were *this easy* surely the professional CPS briefs would be the first people to get this so they would know what everyones defence will be!?

Unless you have particular circumstances or there is something out of order with paperwork etc that a trained eye can pick up your chances of disproving a laser case against you are very slim. I have a bit of experience in it from defending myself and so do a few others on here as well as people such as smeggy who know a lot of the technical information on how they work.

Save your money on the e-book, and if you post a few more details on here I will try to point a way forward or at least suggest if the case is worth fighting.

The Driver's Survival Handbook by Martin Thwaite
Strretwise Publications, Eden House,Genesis Prak,Sheffield Road,Rotherham, S. Yorks,

I bought one out of interest. (Yawn)
Somewhat dated with some large inaccuracies.
You get as much and more from posters on this site IMHO.
