I have found a source of 3.5" diamater twin headlamps - just what I was looking for my kit car - but they are for a street-fighter style of motorbike - does anyone know if the headlamp MOT test for a bike is the same as a car?......obviuosly the bike lamps are a bit higher - but I cant imagine the requirements between either bike/car is that different in terms of the headlamp test - wadyareckon?......my car is Q plated as it was built in 1990, so SVA aint a problem for me

Have a look at www.motuk.co.uk/welcome.htm for details of bike and car lighting for MOT.
How much are the lights?
Have you had a look at various lights fitted to cars now? The internals of some can be modified quite simply. A friend of mine picked up a pair of lights from a Focus with projecter style internals. Dip and main beam mounted together and a simple lever to convert dipped beam for the driving on the other side of the road.
