I am due to replace the windows system on a workstaion. It's primary HDD is SCSI and the secondary is a SATA RAID array running off a PCI card.

I've not really too much experience with RAID Arrays so I have a few questions.

If I format the C drive alone, this will not affect any data or configurations on the RAID array right? Also windows SP should pick up the SATA card?

Thanks

Chris

Formatting the non-RAID drive won't affect the data in the RAID array. However, you will need to re-load the driver for the RAID controller card after reinstalling Windows to be able to access it.

I'd look carefully in disk managment to double check that the partitions are laid out the way you'd expect.
