Wierd problem this.
When with dip lights are switched on, the front offside and rear nearside indictors (and left hand indicator dash light) glow faintly. This does not occur when the side lights or main beam are switched on. If the fan cuts in, this glowing will occur with no lights on, and will go away when side/dip/or main are switched on. Note also that with the side lights off and the fan engaged with the indicators glowimg as above, the front side-lights also glow. When the fan cuts out, this glowing stops. This sounds like an earth problem, apart from the fact that the problem occurs with diametrically opposite indicatiors, and the fact that the lights glow with some appreciable load (dip or fan running) but with a high load (main beam or fan and lights) or low load, the problem goes away.
I have also noticed that the door solenoids seem to click a number of times after you open the door.
Note that the light problems are with the engine running. I will check the onload/off load voltage tonight.

Any ideas? Practical upshot is that I had to switch to high beam last night to work my left hand indicator!!

I expect it is a poor earth connection within the lighting loom.

Agree its probably an earth, I had a similiar problem on the Griffith and it was a poor earth that used a bolt that joins the body to chassis under the Rad, not sure if they're is one on there on a Chimeara though?

Does sound like an earth problem, it's just the fact that it is the front right and rear left indicatiors that are glowing!
I'll have a poke around and ground each earth connection in turn to see if the problem goes away

It's the earth by the steering UJ I think. If not, the one down by the bottom of the radiator.
