I was wondering what the best for browsing the net on the move was.

As I do an awful lot of nite mile munching when i'm not driving/sleeping i'd like to surf.

Any thoughts

Thanks

On your mobile phone? If so get hold of Opera-Mini, it's the mobile version of the opera browser.

www.opera.com/products/mobile/operamini/campaign/

Pistonheads on the move.

It even handles images properly too.

Mobile Opera's fantastic. But if you can get a phone that runs the proper mobile version rather than Opera Mini, all the better. It's free (with free upgrades) for the N70 if you want a "normal" phone. Not bad for getting e-mail on that handset, either (given your thread about BlackBerrys)... I've got it connecting to Gmail for everything quite happily.

Check the reception map for your network first though. I had one from the shop next door to O3 and never got a 3G signal as i seemed to nicely skirt around all the 3G covered areas.

Depends on your sim card contract and type of use I think, its the usual biz i.e. so many meg per month then x pence/meg after kind of thing.

T Mobile do a 3g card for £20 a month, 2 gb a month limit and 384k downloads in central london. Apart from some noticable latency it works almost as good as a home broadbean connection. More than sufficient to surf, download emails etc etc
