OK, who's in, and who's out?

Once my "babysitting" duties are done, I'm off to my workshop to finishe rebuilding my engine. So I'll have a "Running-in, please pass" sign on the back!!!!!

Definitely doing the Britcar with ISL Marcos, as long as the test goes OK, following major shunt at Spa.

Possibly the V8 supercar race.

See you there!

We hope to have 3 cars at Donnington. The Track-Day Compact sporting a few race bits and minus some weight, the E30 M3 and the Super Tourer E36. Has been a bit hectic this last week or so as we thouht the Tourer was for sale minus engine / box !!; so if someone can take some pics I would be grateful.

Unfortunately Jemco Racing will not be there with either the Marcos or Honda - our drivers have gone away to sunny climates for some pre 24 Hour training!

Good luck to all racing this weekend and I will be there supporting the Marcos clan against the rest - come on Topcats & ISL !!

Thanks to all of those who offeresd help, and a bit of moral support, yesterday.

Sadly Harry couldn't be fixed for the V8 races.

The problem required a special tool which could do the job in about 10 minutes, but I didn't have one, neither did anyone else.

Well I've ordered one from those nice people at Snap-On, as I don't trust my home-brewed one as far as I can throw it.

So if anyone has to remove/refit a harmonic damper from their Chevy engine, I will have the proper tool to re-fit it.

See you all back at Donington in November for the next V8 race.

Rob.

The Super Tourer ran a bearing on the dyno pm Wed. Took the car to Donnington Thurs and sought advice from those paying the bills. Back to the workshop pm Thurs and an inspection clarified it was not a quick fix! - no race for her. Brake judder on the E30 was resolved by front disk change and later the Bell/Disc bolts/receivers. During spanner check, post Track day testing, the rear KW shoxs were found to be leaking and so replaced! The Compact suffered a rear wheel bearing failure in the closing moments of Fridays Track Evening final shake-down. Come the S1 race on Sat we finished 2nd overall and 1st in class following a very good race with the 'Big Boys' and the Compact showed well for a new car.
After a long week - home for 9pm - and off marshalling at Harewood today, a very warm and sultry day with cars and bikes.
Keep in touch Britcar fans and I might see you at the Willhire.

Nice pic again, Izzy. Some rather second-hand looking machinery out there (the blue E46 and the Cook 911 GT2). Where did you take the shots of cars cresting a rise; outside of Redgate?
