(I popped some of mine in general gassing as well as the arty ones elsewhere on this thread)

You obviously liked the colour as well as the design on that red Mazda, too!

Nice shots!

No idea, I didn't use flash, and haven't had chance to Photoshop any yet either.

It might be because you've used flash that only the nearer parts are exposed correctly - have you any examples?

....those don't appear to be using flash - but the Fuji has certainly done the colour balance justice Ali. I had to do a bit of fiddling to get mine a touch more pleasing under the range of different lighting conditions.

Aye, the lights were a bugger for taking pics, especially in the Honda exhibit. The girl on the door laughed her pants off when I kicked my shoes off to get a better balance as I went round

The Fuji is really good with colours and stuff

I just avoid flash at all costs in all pictures, unless I really need to fill in shadows or something like that. Built-in flash just makes everything look too unnatural.

I would tend to agree to an extent - but there was that link on here a few months back where the only message was use flash use flash use flash!

There's a lot to having the experience ot know when fill in flash is going to help, rather than hinder.

If I had the money for an SB600 or SB800, I would use my flash much more often... but the built-in flash just seems to ruin colors too much for my tastes. When I take a picture of someone, I don't want them to look like a corpse...

Yup. It's gotten to the point where whenever I see cameras in movies/TV shows/porn flicks, I try to figure out brand and model...

No flash at all on mine. My internal causes an Error OS on my 300 for some reason at the moment, and I'm still not convinced the Sigma flashgun I have works properly with the 300.

So I'm holding off giving a damn until my 1D arrives next week
