I'm still looking for a Cerb that ticks as many boxes as possible. I recall someone suggesting in another thread that if a buyer saw something interesting, to ask on here if it's a 'known' car.
Does anyone know any of the history of this one before I give the seller a call? Never considered a black one before, but it does look rather nice with that magnolia interior.
There's also a beautiful halcyon blue/green 4.5 on autotrader too that looks very tempting!

Don't know the car personally, but if it is as clean as it seems then that is a stonkingly good price.
As it is Greenwich (SE London) the I wouldn't have thought it unreaosnable to take it down to a TVR Specialist/Independant (Austec-Crawley or APM-Liphook) for a proper looking at for a small fee. Find out who did the last service it may already be one of the above and they could tell you what they know about the car. Not one to pass over at that price tbh.

I am in with a fair chance that the blue / green 4.5 is mine...as i think there are only two other Hayclon Atllntis Cerbs on there and one is a 4.2!! so that makes 50/50...
This is a known car, take a look through my threads on my profile, you will see that this is a very good Cerby - i have only had niggles. I'll keep any more discussion off the thread...just caue i know classifieds on the forum are frowned upon

Hi Robert, I saw you driving your Cerb into the car-parking area, I'd got there for 0845am so was just having a wander round all of the cars as they were being prepared in the paddocks.
The 1/4 mile shootout went to Rocket Ronnie (Abbey Motorsport - Skyline R33), however, he wasn't the fastest of the day, that went to Tim Webster in 9.47 at 164mph in his Skyline R33.
The Handling Circuit Competition went to the Dax Rush
, which was just awesome. Top Speed went to Rocket Ronnie with 203mph over the standing mile
Interestingly, the winner of the RWD 1/4 mile comp was John Webster of Race Engineering in an MG SVR, see here -
He managed a 10.67 1/4 mile at 147mph, see here his first run - [url]http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v11[/url], very impressive and although I originally didn't want to like to the MG I found myself warming to it by the end of the day. It made the shootout final against Rocket Ron, which is mightily impressive.
One thing I did note was that the Cerb would not have been out of place in the RWD section, it wouldn't have won, but would have made the top 10, with a few more mods, lighter wheels, drag tyres, better suspension set-up, a better gearbox / diff and with another 100-150bhp, it would definitely be in the mid 10s. It would also have to be competitive on the Handling Circuit and the top speed run.
Other cars there worth a mention were the Furball Porsche 911 Turbo (450bhp) who was running consistent 12.8 1/4's, a Lambo Murcielago who ran high 12s and a Vauxhall Corsa running just a 2 litre engine with 100bhp of nitrous and recording 12 second 1/4's

StefT - I don't know what you are looking for or where you are but there is a yellow 500 at Vicarys in Battle, East Sussex. It has been there a while but may be as it is a little 'sports and prestige' dealer and no-one has found it.
Some of the description is naive but it might be worth a look. 23k miles for £16k.

I picked up on a few of the same as well...the MG was really really nice, the sound was just mind blowing.
Watched the Dax take the handling - he was a very good driver and the Dax did him proud...again, what a noise!!!
I also thought it would have been nice to see some other cars out there, Cerb would have been nice to see, but as you say, better clutch & box - and more power needed. Can this be done with the Cerb AJP, or would you be better off moving to a bigger (for example - american out of the crate performance engine) then obtaining the box and diff to match?
The Ford Granada with a 6.3 supercharged engine was putting in 11's i think
!!!! I saw the Lambo and Aston drag too - quite something to achieve those times 'out of the box', and i bet they weren't 'trying' that hard for fear of breaking demo cars...
It was a great day....but i even with selling the Cerb i didnt get the taste for anything else, they all seemed a bit sterile and I found them all wanting...
Maybe thats cause the Cerb has more soul then any of the rest of them put together
